Use GIFs in your emails

Do you use GIFs in your emails? If you’re not, you should be. GIFs are a great way to surprise and delight your subscribers. They add an element of fun to your campaigns. A GIF is a great way to showcase your promotion and entice your readers. The format provides an amazing opportunity for you because of its relatively small file size and ability to capture the attention of recipients in ways that static images alone cannot. 5 Tips to Grow Your Retail

Retailing is the most profitable part of any salon or spa business. Selling retail generates significantly more profit than services.

 

CREATE A CULTURE OF RETAIL IN YOUR COSMETOLOGY SCHOOL

FRONT OF HOUSE RETAIL
Your front of house should look and feel like a retail store. Retail should be the main focus of the area. It should look like you are in the business of selling products.

BACK OF HOUSE RETAIL
Your back of house is where your students show your guests how products can make them look and feel great. Your students need to talk about the products from the consultation through the end of the service.

CREATE A STRATEGY
Every time your students pick up a product, teach them to cover the news. Have them explain the what, where, why, how, when and why they love it for each product they use.

SET GOALS
Teach your students to sell retail by setting goals such as “$9 per client” or “50% of you clients buying retail.” Contests are a fun way to get students motivated to sell more products.

MINDSET
If the client doesn’t want to buy the products your students suggested, don’t let that deter them from talking about the products with their other guests. Let your students know it’s not personal, it’s business.

LISTENING Blog

This means in a 10 minute conversation we only remember what was said for two and a half minutes. We can all benefit from improving our listening skills. It’s a skill your students need to know to be successful.

DISTRACTIONS ON THE CLINIC FLOOR
- People talking
- Telephone ringing
- Music playing
- Water running at the shampoo bowls
- Blow dryers

Teach your students how to drown out these sounds and focus all their attention on the guest in their chair.

PAY ATTENTION TO THE CLIENT IN THE CHAIR

To be successful in this industry, the focus must be on the client. Your students need to get in the habit of conscious listening. It’ll make the guest feel special and want to come back. Plus, it’ll set your students up for success.
