Styling Tip: Deep Point Cutting with Eric Fisher

Deep Point Cutting

Deep point cutting is a great way to add texture and softness to virtually any haircut.  Watch as Eric Fisher shows how to customize a pixie haircut using this technique.

How To:

Take small sections of hair and lift them straight up, 90 degrees, from the head shape.

With your shears parallel to the hair - not at an angle - insert your shears into the hair and close your blade, removing hair as you exit. This technique will reduce bulk and add shorter pieces for a more disrupted and piece-y look.
